English Board
Please attention. You must use english in this board.
This is my second post in English Board. Thanks to site manager for making this board.
I thought that only few members would see this board, but I was very suprised that 1,000 or more members read articles. But there were only a couple of replies.
Though we have studied English for 10 years or more (middle school, high school, university and company), we still have problems to talk, read, write in English.
This is same to me and maybe if some guys who are English-native read this post, they would find many wrong grammars, word-misusing, and misunderstandings.(It is very helpful if anybody tell me mistakes) But it also could be occured when non-Koreans use Koreans. :)
So, what was a problem when you mistook? Did they laught at you? Did they blame you? Or did you just feel a shame yourself?
Because english is not our native language, it is very natural that we make a mistake. So, I'm writing here to try and try. I would be happy if many members write here and talk about posts.
Luckily, from the world, many people who love keyboards visit this site and write articles. Don't you think this is good opportunity?
Thanks for your reading. Have a nice day~

Yes, I totally agree with you.
Many Korean websites require social security number even though you are a foreigner who doesn't have it (Some websites require registration number for foreigners). I think this blocks many foreigners' free internet access.
I have never been required my private numbers when I want to become a member of any foreign websites.
Anyway, thanks for you reply. I hope this will be changed soon.

I speak seven languages, most badly. I have two tips: 1) You need to live the foreign language. Best is to live in the foreign country for a while. If you can't, play English music, play English movies, watch the news in English, etc. You can live in an English environment in Korea, created by yourself. Here's something to consider: If you watch an American movie in Germany, it will be spoken in German. If you watch it in The Netherlands, it will have the original American and be subtitled. Dutch people speak much better English than Germans. 2) Never be afraid to make mistakes. Be fearless. I found the only people who make fun of errors, only speak their mother language. Make it an art to express yourself knowing you make mistakes. It is the only way to get to the next level, where you think in English, instead of just translating in your head. You need to get to that level.
Hmm, I think I made up a social security number when I joined ;) Will I be arrested? :P

I was very impressed this post and replies.
But I can`t write my opinion in english. It`s very depressed things, I think; As you said, we have studied English for 10 years or more! :(
Most of Koreans- of course, I am- have a English-Phobia.
I think this word 'phobia' is very proper word. Because 'phobia' is just a scared thing, but dangerous thing.
yes, yes i am. now, I`m very scared about my fault :(
