Hi again,
This time I have a kind of off-topic question for you guys here, so it's not related to keyboards at all.
Recently the German local news and a few German internet news sites had reported on Koreas "three-strikes-law".
This is the new law that has taken effect in Korea about a week or so ago, which can "cut off" your internet access for up to six months if you violate online copyright law for three times.
Here is an English article regarding that: http://www.zeropaid.com/news/86703/south-koreas-three-strikes-law-takes-effect/
While for now it seems that this is only targeted at "big fish", normal internet users could in theory still be effected when breaking copyright, right?
Everyone here in Germany seemed kinda creeped out of the idea that your internet could be disabled for up to six months for small and unintended copyright violation (for example putting a copyrighted logo, picture on your blog).
However all of my Korean friends that I had asked about this had either not even heard of the law yet or were not very worried.
I'm just curious to hear what your personal view is on this?

It can be used for government itself. I'm seriously worried about that because the law is pretty obscure that the government will be able to block huge potal services whenever it want. So, the portals cannot avoid to be sensitive to the government's opinions. It means the government will have great power to control not only most of portals but also normal user's opinions just like biased newspapers in Korea.
The party in power has decided to accept new law about mass communications which allows big newspapers' companies to buy stocks of major TV channels. It also can be another way to control citizens' mind because the major opinions of big newspapers publishers have similiar thoughts to current government and the party in power. Nobody knows what will actually happen after these laws applied.
I think, the diversity of opinions must be kept in all space, all time but Korea is going back. Oh my god. Is it 80's now? I can't believe it.

It is New Copyright Act that took effect since July 3, 2009. Actually I didn't notice 3 strikeout part of this act. I felt that I was in the middle of hails.
This act would be applied to (intended) illegal file sharing such as e-book, movies, and tv shows. I agreed WARCOnlyU personally, but I'm not sure really it will be. I think the unintended picture, or logo wouldn't be punished. :)
